Robin Russell’s practice combines a depth of experience in bankruptcy restructuring and litigation with financial transaction work.  She has represented banks, institutional lenders and corporate borrowers in secured and unsecured commercial and consumer credit transactions, including debt restructuring and financial regulatory matters. She has served as a Chapter 7 Trustee and has represented corporate debtors, liquidating trustees, bondholders, unsecured creditors’ committees, bank groups,  private equity funds, landlords, trade creditors and bidders for estate assets in bankruptcy proceedings.  She has been involved in over 100 bankruptcy related adversary proceedings, including Branch v. FDIC, VFB LLC v. Campbell Soup Company, Branch v. Ernst & Young and Mirant v. The Southern Company.

Ms. Russell has been with Andrews Kurth 21 years.  She currently serves on the firm’s Policy Committee, Women’s Initiative Committee, Associates Committee, Conflicts Committee and Professional Development Committee and is a mentor in the firm’s Associate Mentoring program.  Prior to joining Andrews Kurth, she served as clerk to the Honorable William Kilgarlin, Justice of the Supreme Court of Texas.  She has been listed by Texas Monthly as a Texas Super Lawyer in Bankruptcy and Creditor/Debtor Rights.
